Entertainment Co-ordinator Charged with rape of American visitors at Resort
October 08, 2018 - Detectives attached to the St. James Criminal Investigations Branch laid criminal charges against a Jamaican man following an incident at a resort in Montego Bay, St. James on Thursday, September 27.
He has been identified as 24-year-old Demar Dowe Scott otherwise called ‘Ninja’, an entertainment coordinator of Comfort district, Manchester. He has been charged with the following offences:
Illegal Possession of Firearm
Illegal Possession of Ammunition
Assault with Intent to rob (two counts)
Rape (two counts)
Grievous Sexual Assault (two counts)
Reports are that about 11:15 p.m., Scott forcibly entered the hotel room of two females, who are nationals of the United States of America, brandished a firearm before sexually assaulting the two women. It is reported that one of the women relieved him of the weapon and shot him before he escaped. Following investigations Scott was arrested and subsequently charged.
He is scheduled to attend the St. James Parish Court on Wednesday, October 10.
