NARCOTICS ARREST THREE MEN IN ST. ELIZABETH
May 08, 2018 - Detectives assigned to the Narcotics Division arrested and charged three men for breaches of the Dangerous Drug Act in Lacovia, St. Elizabeth on Monday, May 7.
They are:
Glenford Welcome 56-year-old, mechanic ofPort Maria in St Mary
Kerron Wilson 37-year-old, mechanic of Vineyard District in St Elizabeth
Leroy Gordon, 39-year-old, farmer of Port Maria in St Mary
They were charged with Possession of Ganja, Dealing in Ganja, Use of Conveyance and Conspiracy.
Reports are that about 5:00 p.m., the detectives conducted anti-narcotics operations in Lacovia, where two motor vehicles were signalled. During a search of one of the cars, occupied by Wilson and Welcome, fourteen black plastic bags with loose ganja weighing approximately one hundred and ninety-five pounds, with an estimated street value of seven hundred and eighty thousand dollar 780,000 JMD was seized.
Gordon, who was driving the second motor car, was also taken into custody under reasonable suspicion.
The accused men are scheduled to appear in the St. Elizabeth Parish Court on Thursday, May 10.
